Terms and Conditions: Olink™ Proteomics Award
These Terms and Conditions govern the Olink TM Proteomics Award ("Program"), as described in the program overview, available on the abstract submission page here (the “Program Details”). The person submitting an application via the abstract submission page is the applicant (“Applicant”), and is entering on behalf of their employer, which, if the Applicant is selected as a winner, will be the recipient of the award (“Award Recipient”). The Applicant warrants that they have obtained any necessary authorization to submit an application.
Eligibility. To participate in the Program, the Applicant must:
- Hold a primary research position.
- Be engaged full-time in laboratory-based scientific research.
- Be at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction, and in no event less than 18 years of age.
- Be based in the United States, Canada, Latin America, the EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway, China, or APJ.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. This Program is void where prohibited or where registration, bonding, or local compliance is required.
The following are ineligible to participate in the Program:
- Employees, officers, directors, agents and independent contractors of Olink Proteomics AB ("Sponsor") or of any of its subsidiaries or affiliates; and immediate family members and household members of any of the foregoing.
- Residents of embargoed countries, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria.
- Government officials, including without limitation any employee or officer of any government department, agency or instrument, of any public international organization such as the European Union, United Nations or World Health Organization, or of any political party, and any candidate for political office and
- All persons (including businesses, research institutions, government and private organizations, individuals, and other legal persons) subject to trade or financial sanctions under the laws and regulations of the United Nations, the United States, the European Union and its Member States, the United Kingdom or any other government to whose laws Sponsor, its subsidiaries or affiliates, the Program or such person is subject, and all individuals employed thereby or otherwise associated therewith.
- Any persons for whom it would be illegal to participate in or win the Program, or with or to whom it would be illegal for Sponsor to interact or grant any award as contemplated herein.
- Healthcare Professionals, defined as follows:
- If located in Europe, the Middle East or Africa: The term Healthcare Professional means any individual (with a clinical or non-clinical role; whether a government official, or employee or representative of a government agency or other public or private sector organization; and whether or not also involved in research activity; including but not limited to, physicians, nurses, technicians, laboratory scientists, researchers, research coordinators or procurement professionals) that in the course of their professional activities may directly or indirectly purchase, lease, recommend, administer, use, supply, procure or determine the purchase or lease of, or who may prescribe medical technologies or related services.
- If located outside of Europe, the Middle East and Africa: the term Healthcare Professionals includes clinical or non-clinical physicians (including MDs and MDs/Ph.Ds), and physician assistants, nurses, technicians, research coordinators, administrators and purchasing personnel and entities (including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing facilities, home health agencies, clinics and group purchasing organizations, managed care organizations, physician group practices, medical directors for health insurance organizations, diagnostic institutions) and their employees and representatives who are involved in the actual provision of health care services.
How to Enter Submit a 300-word (maximum) abstract describing a pilot project using the OlinkTM Reveal platform. Each Applicant may submit only one application. Entries will be accepted until May 1, 2026 at 11:00 PM EST.
Entries for the Program must be submitted as set forth in the Program Details. Sponsor makes no guarantee or warranty with respect to the security or confidentiality of applications or the application process. By entering, the Applicant gives permission to Sponsor to contact the Applicant regarding Sponsor’s products and services, whether or not the Applicant is selected as a winner. Each Applicant shall be entitled to make one (1) entry into the Program only. In the event that Sponsor deems an Applicant to have made multiple applications to enter or to have acted in bad faith with respect to the Program, the Applicant shall be excluded from the Program and consequently ineligible to be selected.
Selection Of Winners And Notifications. The Applicant acknowledges and agrees that the participation, winner selection, and the award (as specified in the Program Details, the “Award”) provided to the Award Recipient under the Program is not, and will not be, based upon the volume or value of any business previously generated between Sponsor and the Applicant, or the Applicant’s institution or company, or any other organization that the Applicant is involved in, if applicable, but based on an assessment of the applications against the selection criteria set forth in the Program Details. Applications will be judged by a panel of individuals designated and employed by Sponsor. Finalists may be invited to participate in an interview as part of the evaluation process. Such interviews are expected to take place between May 20 and May 30, 2026. The decision of this panel will be final and binding and shall not be subject to review or appeal by any Applicant or by any third party. Sponsor will attempt to notify the selected Applicant(s) by email within approximately ten (10) business days after selection. If a selected Applicant has not responded to email inquiries within 4 business days, Sponsor will attempt to contact the winner by telephone. If the winner cannot be reached by telephone within forty-eight (48) hours of first telephone attempt to notify such winner, the Awards may, in Sponsor’s discretion, be forfeited and an alternate Applicant may be selected by the panel. Once a winner has been successfully contacted, Sponsor and the winner will discuss project details, any required documentation (including, e.g., sample forms), sample submission and randomisation. The Award will be subject to and contingent on the Award Recipient’s agreement to and compliance with additional terms provided by the Sponsor governing the services awarded under the Program.
The winner will provide samples to Sponsor at winner’s cost and in accordance with applicable shipping and handling instructions provided by Sponsor.
Restrictions Apply. Samples must be prepared in accordance with the instructions to be provided to the winner and as set forth in the Program Details. Samples must be collected in compliance with applicable law and ethical permitting requirements. The Award may not be transferred or assigned; no substitutions or cash equivalents are allowed. The winner may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility/release of liability/publicity release (where legal), and the Award Recipient may be required to execute an agreement with Sponsor governing services awarded under the Program (the “Analysis Service Agreement”), in each case within twenty- one (21) days of first notification attempt. If the winner fails to return the executed affidavit/release (if applicable) or Award Recipient fails to return the executed Analysis Service Agreement, by the deadline, the Award will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected by the panel based on the criteria set forth above.
The Applicant understands and agrees that no ideas, information or materials that are submitted to or otherwise provided to Sponsor in connection with the Program will be returned, and that Sponsor makes no guarantee or warranty with respect to the security or confidentiality thereof. All taxes on the Award and reporting thereof, and any other costs, fees and expenses relating to the Award or the Program, are the sole responsibility of the winner and/or the winner’s institution or company. By submitting an application or accepting the Award(s), the Applicant agrees on behalf of the Applicant and the Applicant’s institution or company: (1) to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (together with the Program Details, the “Rules”); (2) that Sponsor shall retain full authority, in its sole discretion, to interpret and administer these Rules; (3) that any dispute with regard to the conduct of the Program, interpretation of the Rules or selection of the winner(s) shall be resolved by Sponsor, whose decision shall be binding and final; (4) to be bound by all decisions and interpretations made in good faith by Sponsor; and (5) that all services awarded under the Program will be subject to Sponsor’s Analysis Service Agreement. Furthermore, the Applicant represents and warrants that: (1) the Applicant meets all eligibility requirements of the Program; (2) the Applicant has obtained all required authorizations and permissions from the Applicant’s institution or company; (3) entering into the Program does not and will not violate any law or regulation, or any of the Award Recipient’s rules or policies; and (4) the information contained in the application is true and correct in all material respects and is owned or rightfully possessed by the Applicant without restriction on disclosure. Sponsor may refuse to provide the Award if Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that doing so would likely result in a violation of an applicable law, rule, or policy.
Use Of Winner’s Name And Likeness. The Applicant acknowledges and agrees that, if the Applicant is selected as a winner, the Applicant’s name, biographical information, likeness, the name of the Applicant’s institution or company, and the project title (excluding further project details) may, without further compensation, be published on one or more Sponsor website(s) and through social media. By accepting the Award, each winner grants to Sponsor, on behalf of the winner and the winner’s institution or company, the right, at any time and from time to time, to print, publish, broadcast, and use, worldwide and in any media now known or hereafter developed (including, but not limited to, social media, the Internet, and the world wide web), the winning Applicant’s name, biographical information (if provided by the Applicant), image or likeness, the name of the winning Applicant’s institution or company, and the project title (excluding further project details).
Publications And Presentations. It is the objective of the parties that the winners will present the results from the proposed study in one or more publications. It is understood that Sponsor will be enabled, but not obligated, to use such results to create marketing materials and that, at Sponsor’s request, the winning Applicant will present the results in a forum hosted by Sponsor at a date and time to be determined.
Indemnity, Disclaimer And Limitation Of Liability. By participating in the Program, the Applicant agrees on behalf of the Applicant and the Applicant’s institution or company to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from all liability for any injury, loss or damage, including death or property damage, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, to the participation in the Program or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Award. Sponsor makes no warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to the Award, including, without limitation, to such Award’s quality or fitness for a particular purpose. SPONSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST, LATE, STOLEN, INCOMPLETE, ILLEGIBLE, INACCURATE, UNDELIVERED, DELAYED OR MISDIRECTED ENTRIES, OR FOR ANY COMPUTER, THE INTERNET, EMAIL, TELEPHONE OR TECHNICAL MALFUNCTIONS OR DELAYS, OR FOR ANY HUMAN ERRORS THAT OCCUR IN THE PROCESSING, TRANSMISSION OR RECEIPT OF ENTRIES, OR FOR INACCURATE TRANSCRIPTION OF ENTRY INFORMATION, OR IF THE PROGRAM IS NOT CAPABLE OF BEING CONDUCTED AS PLANNED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO INFECTION BY COMPUTER VIRUSES, BUGS, TAMPERING, UNAUTHORIZED INTERVENTION, FRAUD, TECHNICAL FAILURES, OR OTHER CAUSES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF SPONSOR. IN NO EVENT SHALL SPONSOR OR ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR REPRESENTATIVES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM OR THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT ANY OF THEM ARE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE FOREGOING LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SPONSOR’S TOTAL AND CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROGRAM SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE TOTAL VALUE OF THE PRIZE.
Miscellaneous. Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, modify, cancel or terminate the Program without advance notice, including, without limitation, in the event of any act, occurrence or reason that it believes would compromise the legality, integrity, administration or fairness of the Program. If one or more provisions of these Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall be valid and enforceable. These Rules are governed by and shall be construed by the laws of Sweden, without application of its choice of law principles. Should there be a conflict between the laws of Sweden and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of Sweden. The failure of Sponsor to comply with any provision of these Rules due to civil unrest, threat of or actual acts of terrorism or war, embargoes, governmental actions, acts of God, earthquakes, floods, storms, fires, supplier delay, accidents, explosions, epidemics, quarantine restrictions, or other such contingencies beyond the control of Sponsor, shall not be considered a breach of these Rules. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any Applicant or Award Recipient who tampers or attempts to tamper with the Application process or the operation of the Program or website; violates these Terms and Conditions; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Program may be a violation of law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person and participant to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Program if it is not capable of running as planned due to circumstances including, but not limited to, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other problems beyond the control of Sponsor. Sponsor and its affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in the Program or any award. Each Award Recipient assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Program or use or redemption of any Award.
